BAT (Basic Assessor Training)


TEAM4Excellence have partnered with EFQM to deliver sustainable excellence in Romania. The related products and services are in line with the EFQM Excellence Model.

Course aim

The BAT aims at giving people who have very little knowledge of the EFQM Excellence Model a basic understanding of the structure. and the 3 key elements:

  • The Fundamental Concepts of Excellence;
  • The EFQM Excellence Model;
  • The RADAR Logic.

Course objectives

Upon completion of the BAT module, you may expect to know about:

  • Introducing EFQM and the need for a Model;
  • What is Excellence – the definition of Excellence and techniques of stakeholder analysis;
  • The Fundamental Concepts of Excellence;
  • The Criteria;
  • The RADAR assessment framework;
  • Basics of Assessment;
  • Concrete examples of Excellence at Work in organisations that are award finalists.

Who is this course for?

The BAT is addressed to individuals who want to understand the basics of the EFQM Model and its three constituents. This course can be taken as a preparation for any EFQM training but is particularly useful prior to the EFQM Assessor Training and the Internal Assessor Training.

Entry requirements

There are no specific skills required to follow this training.

Learning Process

The Basic Assessor Training is delivered online through the EFQM e-learning platform.


You will be evaluated online.


Within the EFQM Training Portfolio, this will be the “first step” on the excellence pathway for potential EFQM Assessors and line managers.

Course duration

Upon registration, you receive 60 days to complete the training and pass the final test.
